SRISHTI
Srishti was created by Israth Hossain to sell her unique arts and crafts. The client asked for a design that depicted a pencil and a paintbrush. The final design features the two objects formed using negative space, while the overall shape resembles the letter "S", which represents the name of her business.

EID 2018

Volunteer work - intended to be shared across social media platforms to celebrate the Islamic holiday, Eid

THE PROCESS

Phase 1
Brainstorming and gathering what kinds of elements will be incorporated into the final design; set on making the phrase in the shape of a mosque; sketches were done on regular 8.5" x 11" copy paper

Phase 2
Brainstorming further and developing ideas for what else may contribute to the final design; developing the centered lettering treatment to resemble the shape of a mosque

Phase 3
Establishing the arrangement and visual means by which the images and separate elements will be put together; enclosing all the elements in a circle shape; testing markers and inks on a copy of the drawing before working on the original and final design

Phase 4
The final drawing; a combination of ink and marker outlines and pencil to shade the different elements; includes the many different things that make Eid a special day for Muslims worldwide

The Final Product
The final design is a digitally edited version of the drawing; edits were made on Photoshop.
