SRISHTI
Srishti was created by Israth Hossain to sell her unique arts and crafts. The client asked for a design that depicted a pencil and a paintbrush. The final design features the two objects formed using negative space, while the overall shape resembles the letter "S", which represents the name of her business.
THE WORLD OF
MAKE-BELIEVE
These are illustrations that were created on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 6 using an app called Autodesk Sketchbook. The following illustrations are a part of an Instagram series where I shared the true stories and/or histories behind each fairy tale, folk lore, or fable. Included are links to the captions.
"I grew up loving animated movies, especially the classic 2D-animated Disney movies. I loved fairy tales and fables. I loved seeing made up worlds and places and I loved how magical cartoons were. It didn't matter if something didn't really exist or if it looked wrong.
I've never been interested in realism in art. I've never cared to achieve realism in my work, though it is amazing when people have the skills to do so. People always tell me I have a distinct style, but I've never really understood what it was, perhaps other than "cartoonish." ... This is the beginning of a new series of digital drawings."
